Will the WBO strip Billy Joe Saunders?

Only five more weeks to go:

    a) The World Championship Committee (hereinafter the Committee) shall be composed of five members: the WBO President, ex-officio, and four (4) members, including the Chairman of the Committee (hereinafter the Chairman), who shall be appointed by the President. The members of this Committee, upon appointment, shall hold office until their successors have been appointed. In the event that the Chairman is unavailable, the WBO President shall have all powers and authority of the Chairman.

    (b) The World Championship Committee shall have the following powers and discretion:

    21. To vacate a championship title regardless of cause or fault if the Champion has not defended within a nine (9) month period.

Despite reports stating Saunders v Rosado was close to completion, the Briton stated he was hoping for a sterner test for what will be a co-feature bout on a double world title card televised through the HBO pay-per-view platform.

“First of all, Golden Boy didn't get me the opponent that was originally agreed,” Saunders exclusively told World Boxing News.

“Gabriel Rosado was put to me as an alternative, but in my opinion, I don’t gain anything in fighting him. Rosado has been beaten eight times and I made it clear I rather face an unbeaten fighter who was with a rival promotion.

“But if people really want me to fight Rosado I’d be happy to - but he's a world-class journeyman at best and that's all he is.

“At the end of the day, I’ll fight anyone my promoter puts in front of me - but if I had the choice it wouldn’t be someone like Rosado who would get beat again and my name wouldn’t get any bigger from it.

I wish Lee would have won.

      He would have fought Gennady.

Why didn't this guy fight Rosado (a pretty sure win) on a big stage like a Canelo PPV?

      Dumbass...

I'm a BJS fan, but I got no f#cking clue what he's thinking lately. Seems like he's just decided winning a title was his life goal & now he just wants to cashout or something idek. Nothing making a lot of sense here. BJS always been a cat thinking in different types of ways, but I don't see the logic of not making any move at all like he's doing. Weird.
