If GGG-CANELO happens... great but so what. It's one fight that will happen on PPV which does zero for HBO's boxing subscriber base.
I don't disagree with you except I think having the 4 best in the world, the top PPV draw, and the 2 guys that excite boxing populists isn't terrible.

I am hopeful HBO has to let all of them go so we can start getting the fights we want.

HBO barely make anything on PPVs anyway. It's more about having their brand attached to the big fights more than anything.

Well... once HBO is out of boxing GBP will be forced to do independent PPVS to keep Cane paid.

Other than that... everybody else goes the PBC route.

GGG-LEMIEUX bombed on PPV. Loma is a no name that draws no ratings.

Did you really say Luis Ortiz? Ahahahahahahahaha

HBO has a $25 million budget that is continuously getting smaller. PBC and Schaefer have $600 million in cash to play with and Mayweather is set to come back next year.

          Game will be over soon...
actually it was explained the budget was smaller than normal this year due to Rupert Murdock and a bigger budget is expected next year.

300k ppv buys happened all the time when HBO had a big budget. Depending in the fighters guarantee you can turn a profit with less than that many buys. Pacquiao and Floyd's first few ppv forays were in that range. Morales Marquez Roy Jones Hopkins Pavlik Taylor etc have had ppv buys in that range or less.

PBC is the one who has turned ESPN into their form league of fox sports one and very few fights are ending up in fox nbc etc. all the big fighs like Thurman Porter, Frampton Santa Cruz required licensing fees from showtime.

Have you noticed there is no more PBC propaganda about free boxing for all? That's because they realize they need showtime licensing fees as the investor money runs dry. They self fund the ESPN, NBC sports and fox shows because they are cheap. Even the nbc card coming up is only one fight (spence-bundu) and costs way under a million dollars to finance. Hardly a major fight

People have the right to form an opinion of you based on those beliefs, HBO has the right to drop you for those beliefs if they believe it will impact their brand.

Political correctness has ruled the world. The majority opinion either sides with Pac or have no opinion about gays. Yet the minority rules. HBO and other business en****** are scared **** of them.

If you haven't noticed... HBO's boxing budget has decreased every year since 1999. From $120 million to $28 million last year and under $25 million this year.

Based on the ratings this year, based on the landscape... there is NOBODY at Time Warner that would logically make a case for increasing HBO's boxing budget next year.

                  NOBODY.

If it goes from $24 million to $30 million next year it does nothing for their subscription rate. Time Warner knows this, HBO knows this... the only idiots who fail to realize this are ******ed boxing fans. LOLz

yes it is accurate what you say.

But PC is te way in order to control the masses in the future.20 years ago people would not have cared, now they have been induced to believe there is a right or wrong instead of having their own beliefs.

Big Brother will rule soon, just not in 1986.
