Exactly, which means he's a worthy opponent. They (Team Kovalev) should be building up Ward before the fight, not tearing him down. Saying he's washed up means "don't buy the PPV."

... while "team Ward" performs somewhat better?

... tbh: I'm sure that Ward and Kovalev are both enough intelligent and articulated in order to build this fight quite strong all by themselves -- under one condition: Kovalev to get a good translator from Russian (because his English is tragic)...

Kovalev/Jackson will be judged on their words/actions.

NOW..... is definitely the best time to talk-it-up

If Jackson can come up with a great gameplan, AND continually give Kovalev the correct adjustments between rounds..... then nobody (like me) will dig up his pre-fight comments and throw them back in his face.....

        ..... let's see what happens.

This reads a little bit like Sanchez/Barrera.

Sanchez gameplan was to hope that Ward is faded, slow, and small at LHW.

Sanchez was NO help to Barrera whatsoever.

A faded, slow, small, LHW, totally outclassed Barrera..... and Dirty Sanchez had no answer at all..... he was literally a liability to Barrera in that fight.

He ****** Barrera into a false sense of security with unlikely "hopeful observations" that turned out to be completely incorrect..... and then he did nothing to turn the tide when Barrera started getting dissected."

I think that Jackson is much better than Abel Sanchez, but a tangible gameplan will be more effective than hopeful observations.

          DON'T be an Abel Sanchez.

Assuming/hoping your opponent is faded....now that's one shi.tty game plan.

Chilemba hit Kovalev more than he did Bellew...if he had any power,Kovalev would be in our thoughts and prayers.

If he thinks Ward can't hurt him, this fight is already over..

those guys are way better than anyone GGG has fought. I like GGG but I cant say hes proved himself against top level guys.

Kovalev will UD Ward similarly to Hopkins, except Ward will be able to win a single round
