Adonis seems to have his next year planned out for him nicely by Haymon. Alvarez then Smith. Should keep him busy until next spring. Doubt he's ever facing Kovalev vs Ward winner. But he'll probably end it on a good note and retire as the champ. I'm from New York so I like to see smith at least get a shot.

I'd like to see Smith go full time pro with a string of top opposition first. He's a marketable fighter, no use in just using him as a warm body for Stevenson. Let the guy get some top level fight experience and then give him a shot if he passes the tests.

Smith can certainly punch and Adonis is there to be hit early...but when it gets to round 4 and 5, Smith is going to get beat up.

                    Give him Edwin Rodriguez first.
