No one cares. No one watches. Just 4-5 years ago 1.3 million viewers for HBO fights would be disappointing. Now it's the best anyone can manage. PBC's ratings get worse every time. Olympic boxing isn't on television at all. No one is talking about it. How often does anyone even talk boxing on any sports channel? It's extremely rare. Mayweather is the most popular boxer in America and he's probably not even in the top 10 overall. He's sure as **** not near as popular as fighters 15-20 years before.

America does not care about boxing. It gets less and less popular every year.

        Was the answer PEDs?

I kid, but yea RJJ is right. I think there are more factors doe.

For sure the amateur system doesn't support the sport like they used to. No one is throwing money into amateur programs so gyms are closing.

I think MMA has taken more of a hold on this eras combat sports participants.

I think there is a general pussification of Americans that plays a part in all this too.

And I'm not sure if I'll describe this properly, but I think the social economically safeguards that are in place in the US today make kids not put into the lower rungs of society in such a way as kids might have been previously. That leads to them not being as willing to take more risks + I think some of the poor people who are out in the streets fighting who might have in other eras been led to a gym to hone their skills are just more likely to fall into a life of crime & imprisonment with how the for profit prison system works & the lack of gyms to learn boxing.

I'd also suggest that the dangers of being hit in the head are more highly considered as something that is negative for kids & young adults by parents which is preventing many kids from ever being exposed or steered towards boxing.

Yeah, it's weak sauce stuff, but that's how America 'plays' boxing these days.
You mean like GGG going all business to fight a WW?

And loma going all business on Walters and now Solido??

Trust me, we're salty that we're not the best. As soon as we have a real champion and start dominating again, watch how it will go back to normal. The money has made our heavyweights lazy.

Look at Wilder, although an ok champion, he brings people together in fucking Alabama out of all states. We care but we like winning.

Also look at how dominating the U.S. basketball team is, they shut out other teams and people still watch. We don't have that in boxing at the moment.

No worries dude. I'm guessing though that English isn't your first language. If it is though...maybe you should go back to school.

                    It's not, of course.

But I thought that english was flexible and that was one of his quality...

You may be right, here floyd was advocating for a crooked usada and pointing fingers at pac for years until pac took him to court and floyd paid him off to not have to open his file.

the irony of it all is that floyd got caught taking an illegal iv lance armstrong style just before the pac fight . You cant make this stuff up
