I couldn't care less where the fighter is from. If I like his fighting style and/or personality I will be a fan. I've rooted against an American fighter plenty of times. Most of my favorite fighters from the past are American, but most of my favorite fighters now are from other countries.

Is nationality the main criteria in determining whether you like a boxer?

LOL, This thread had the potential to be an intriguing debate, until I saw how the poll questions were laid out.
But to answer the question, I will usually root for a British fighter if fighting international, Brook v Porter, Fury v Wlad and so on and so fourth. But That doesn't stop me from liking boxers from all over the globe. I like everyone from Matthysse, to Errol Spence to Kovalev and Ward. . . I'm a fan of all sorts
It's probably easier for me to list the boxers I'm not fans of. . .
LSC, Danny Garcia, Khan. I'll still watch their fights though. Khan is always in exciting fights. (LOL) And to touch upon the boring part. I know what you're referring to as boring when you bring that up, but to me, I find LSC boring. I just really don't like too much of what he does, or find it exciting. Granted his last match with Frampton was quite exciting. But the Mares and a few before that really were not exciting for me.

Not necessarily by nationality perse but I'm not gonna lie I do associate certain ethnic groups to certain boxing styles...
i.e
mexicans and mexican-americans: Warrior style/heart
blacks: technical style/boring
whites: don't really have a defined style ??
and yes I am aware this post is gonna bring on the butt pain out of some people hahaha

I tend to go with fighters i identify with most. If people are honest they would admit this too.
I cannot identify with or pay to watch pillow fisted ****** trash. Greats like SRL of course, they were exceptional, non boring & decent individuals. Guys like Broner, Rigo or FMJ? Nahh..
Though i appreciate there talent (with the exception of the STD riddled Broner) i can honestly say i am indifferent to them really.
I do appreciate fighters of all nationalities though: Klitschko, Joshua, Usyk, Lebedev, Kovalev, Beterbiev, Badou, Ramirez, Golovkin, Canelo, Thurman, Lomachenko, Frampton are the fighters i tend to favour.
