Winner of this fight has claims for top dog. its 50/50 i lean 1 way then the other. love the Krusher but skills pay the bills as they say n Ward is as good as they come.

I can't pick a winner at the moment. Power, under-rated skills and natural LHW that's taken the more challenging fights in preperation Kov vs elite skilled, battle tested albeit some time ago and highly athletic Ward on home turf.

I hope Kovalev doesn't think that Chilemba was the answer because he and Ward are night and day. Either way this is going to be a good fight, may the best man win.

im not assuming he cant box....he showed he has good skills....he just hasnt encountered someone as well schooled, naturally talented or can adapt on the fly like ward Kov is one of my fav active fighters but they all have flaws. Ward doesnt shoot his right hand from the shoulder most times and also he tries to counter straight rights with left hooks, if it isnt timed right, he'll get clipped or dropped. I just think Ward will deal with the style match up better and adapt sooner. Also I just dont see Kov winning enough rounds for a decision and will have to ko ward in order to win I just dont see it as a 50/50 fight...I respect Kov a lot.

From what I've seen with respect to Kovalev following JDJs instructions as well as he has done in many fights, but especially the BHop fight, I have confidence he'll be able to adapt well to Ward. Neither will fight the perfect fight... just from who their opponents are. But IMO, weighing both fighter's skill sets/advantages... I think it's a 50/50 fight.
