I can see every member of the usa team, becoming world champ, but i can't say the same about an olympic medal too.

True, given the number of title belts in every weight division at pro and US promoter connections to sanctioning bodies.

You can become world champ even if you're a the 4th or 5th best fighter in a division, sometimes even lower.

The Olympic list of future world heavyweight champions actually began in 1952, not 1960. Floyd Patterson won in Helsinki, being the first Olympic champ to go on to win the heavyweight title. Subsequently became the first to regain the heavyweight title and remains the youngest man to win the lineal heavyweight title, isn't that right Mike, you being a boxing historian?

The amateur boxing system shows that the US boxing scene isnt much good at the moment, in the amateurs theres no cherry picking, no al haymon, the best fighter wins the tournament so you can see which countries are actually the best boxing nations. US stars do well in pro boxing currently not because they are the best fighters for the most part, its because they can be manufactured to win a title with clever matchmaking

Well, Floyd won the gold medal in middleweight, i don't know if they didn't put him there because of that.
