    The Next PPV Star is???

With Floyd retired and not looking like he will be returning. Who will be the next

guy to consistently sell big PPV Numbers. My first opinion would be AB as long

as if he can finally win a couple of big fights... He has the flash, the ****iness,

he is very entertaining outside the ring and can show flashes of great knockout

power. however if he takes anymore big losses he is the next Zab

    Judah/Mayorga.

Canelo could also take the spot as the next PPV king but i believe if he

doesn't fight GGG soon then he will lose credibility.

Also, GGG can do it he just needs to fight more credible fighters.

    And don't forget Wilder.
    Whats your take?

If Joshua can keep up what he is doing, he is going to go very very high. His fighting style is very spectator friendly and attractive and he has already gained the popularity he needed to keep going forward. Canelo is there too. He is quite young and still has a good 10 years on him. He can do a lot in 10 years.

Agree. Joshua has the opportunity to be really big if he keeps winning.

I think Canelo is still in the lead for the next PPV star, but I'm still curious how much he damaged his image with avoiding the GGG fight.

If I was betting on the next guy to sell 1M PPV's it'd for sure be between Canelo & Joshua.

Its true but at the same time its boxings own fault for that reason... its ashame that Deontay Wilder walked the streets of time square as the WBC heavyweight champ and people noticed the interviewer before they noticed Wilder... Not to mention they always drag out the good match ups.

No one in America.. Boxing is dead as a major mainstream sport..

I don't see another boxer ever breaking 1 million buys in America.. If cotto/canelo could only do 800k that's a huge red flag, and no one else but canelo can break 300k...

Floyd-baldomir did over 300k, more than GGG and crawford combined

Terence bud crawford if he can beat pacquiao.

He is entertaining, skilled. All he needs is mainstream exposure.

A win vs. Pac and he's the next big ppv draw.

Alvarez vs Lil'G could've already been made. Lil'G didn't want to budge south of 160 unless it was Pacquiao or Mayweather. Clearly Alvarez doesn't bring money nor interest to Lil'G. Instead we get Lil'G vs Brook.

Lil'G fans been awfully quiet this month. Best thing they had going to lure away the Brook fiasco was to make fun of Ward vs Brand....

other than that, fook em booof. All about Joshua vs Wilder 2017

Crawford would have to beat Pac the way Floyd beat Corrales or Gatti. PPV isssa dying

There is no next PPV star on the horizon! Simply because a fighter fights on PPV, that does not make him a star. Despite what fans like to claim or believe, Canelo Alvarez is not a PPV star and never will be. No one who is boxing today is going to sell more than 400,000 PPVs (which would make him a star in my opinion) on a consistent basis. If you have to have a major star as an opponent to sell more than 300,000 PPVs, you are not a PPV star.
