Should there be an upper age limit, say 45, for pro boxing?

Nah. Fighters that retired in their 30s have suffered more brain damages than those that have continued fighting into their late 40s/early 50s.

It wouldn't be a bad rule, but I hate to limit somebody like Hopkins. he didn't take a lot of punishment and still managed to school a few guys. If he can do that, I think it's very inspiring.

That being said, most guys just embarrass themselves after 45 and it would probably prevent some injuries and damage. But like you say, it's a business where rules are different everywhere and even if they limit it here, other countries would cave for the right money. Japan let Morrison fight when he supposedly had AIDS. There's always a way.

Hopkins was champion at the time he lost to Kovalev and lasted 12 rounds against a dynamite puncher. So yes, I did see it, did you?

Foreman would go on to win THE heavywieght championship of the world.

              So you're point was?
