I need to see more of these no headgear Olympics before I jump on the band wagon.
Not wrong just I think he should be proud to fight for his country of birth

I fully understand he will be making serious bank if he wins a medal so you can't blame the guy

I've watched most of the boxing so far it's a hell of a lot better without the head gear and the old point scoring system nonsense

Well he has come up through the British school of boxing, so i don't see the problem

He's been here since he was 9.....so he is not fully Ghanaian

If he had come here when he was an adult and chose to fight for the UK then i would have a problem - unless Ghana refused to accept him

Lennox Lewis fought for Canada, but that was because GB refused to select him.

I hear you...but...imagine if he chose Ghana and what that would mean to THEM.

He has zero defense, so in a way, he is saving Ghana from disappointment.

I'm getting regular coverage with NBC, so not a lot of boxing. It's unusual to see a fight without an American involved. What channel/stream are you watching?

I had the pleasure or rather pain of sparring josh on a few occasions he was 18 and I was in my 30's. He is one tough hombre!! He has a granite chin and he can defend when he needs to although he certainly left his chin out a couple of times in his first bout. It does happen when you are an attacking fighter though. He was always so grateful of the chances afforded to him in the UK and he truly is a lovely bloke with absolutely no attitude. Last saw him about 18 months ago and he was no different. I know I am biased but he is proud of his roots and is certainly no uncle Tom. To be honest uncle Tom accusations are a bit outdated in the UK as we all seem to get along ok!!

Not sure what the problem is, came here when he was 9 so that was a child. Not everyone would represent the country of their birth.

This guy looks amazing. Defence he can work on. Just the way he throws his punches, so fluid, especially for a bigger guy. Looking forward to watching him develop
