  • Dan Rafael does a disservice to the sport

The fact that the lead boxing writer of the biggest sports network displays such a lack of appreciation and respect to the sport and its fighters as if he was a blog ****boy is a disgrace, and ESPN should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such a lack of professionalism in regards to the great sport of boxing.

Yeah, no one good wants to cover boxing. After Bert it's all over.

Steve Kim is very disrespectful towards certain fighters, too.

These guys act like childish forum trolls at times. Instead of like professionals.

I agree and most of the media agree. Not even his peers at ESPN like him. When was the last time you saw Rafael visit a boxing gym other than during fight week? Would you take a football beat writer serious if he didn't visit off season camps?

In a sport where public perception factors greatly into earning potential, the most widely distributed writer should be, well, less like Dan Rafael
