Once Ward feels Kovalev's power, and then realizes that this dude doesn't have to bum rush in like some drunken, basic, average caveman (Froch, Bika, Abraham). He's going to have 100s of questions in his mind, but have no answers. Soul will be drained, spirits will be destroyed, and realization of the 0-about-to-go will be flooding his brain.

While that's happening, a jab to the body, followed by a devastating right hand upstairs is going to put him on his butt, and that will seal his fate as far as fighting Kovalev goes.

Boone dropped Ward hard, and like I said, Ward is always tagged... every fight. It's a 2 way street in the ring with Kovalev and Ward. Anyone who thinks it's an easy fight for either is just being foolish.

If im not mistaken, didnt Kovalev get dropped by Boone their first fight as well?

No knockdowns in the first fight, Kovalev's 10th, which was a SD win for him. The 2nd fight he stopped Boone in 2, again Kovalev wasn't knocked down. Ward didn't stop Boone in his fight with him, it was a UD win for Ward.

I would imagine they'll be getting at least one interview published with Boone, getting his take on Kov and Ward regarding power, boxing skill etc. Should be interesting to check out.

BTW, as you can see in the link, Ward was seriously dropped, and took more damage after getting up. I'd say he was lucky the round ended, because he would've at least been dropped again if Boone had another minute to work. And, if you remember Saturday, Brand was getting in there with the uppercut, and almost had it perfected. IOW, Kovalev should be able to drop Ward at least once.
