Ward is a complete boxer. Fights well from the outside, fights well on the inside, can go to the body. Good jab, good straight right, nasty left hook.

People love GGG, hbo considers him a staple of their network, ward doesn't have that kind of love.

Hbo liked ward because of the potential fight with kovalev. Once that fight is over, they don't have any use for him anymore.

The one reason they could keep him around is keep Cotto at hbo though.
