Pascal was a 175 pounder who won the LHW Ring title by upsetting the LHW champion Chad Dawson. In his first 3 fights he beat Adrian Diaconu for the WBC title and defended it against him. He then fought a competitive fight with Hopkins and knocked him down a couple of times. By the time Kovalev fought Pascal he had 10 fights at LHW.

Hopkins is a 2 time LHW Ring champion.

Kovalev beat former 175 champions. Stop twisting it.

168 is not a better weight class. It would just be more difficult to him because he would be facing bigger guys, but doesn't mean that 168 is better than 160.

Kovalev and his trainer never claimed they would fight anyone from 168 to 200lbs.

So Golovkin as a fighter is to blame for what his team said? I remember you that ANY fighter is willing to move up or down for a big money fight.

GGG fans hype up GGG to the point of delusion and disrespect, for example GGG is better than ATG MW's like Monzon and Hagler.

GGG fans claim that fighters of lower weight classes (Mayweather, Canelo), and smaller JMW's (Cotto) are ducking GGG.

So what some fighters fans can say about that fighter makes you like or not the fighter? makes no sense.

GGG contradicted himself by saying Canelo is fighting WW's in business fights and he doesnt do that, and then accepting to fight Brook, a WW.

First, Golovkin was Canelo's mandatory and he vacated to avoid GGG.
Second, Golovkin was set to fight Eubank jr and 8 weeks before the fight they pulled out and Brook was a replacement. This was admitted by Eubank Sr recently. Link.
Also, GGG has been trying to get the best MW's in the ring with him, but most of them refused and all of them made claims on the media admitting they were refusing to fight him. From BJS "I need 18 months, he would beat me and Eubank jr on the same night", to Jacobs "We need time for that fight, we need to build it, and the money needs to be right, he's the best of my generation", or Sergio Martinez "GGG is off the charts" or Miguel Cotto "I'm not a middleweight", or Canelo Alvarez "I will fight him at 160, I'm ready for him" and proceeds to vacate the title the following week and delays the fight for at least two years. Not to mention that GGG signed to fight Pirog when Pirog was the best MW after Martinez and Pirog injured during the camp for that fight and had to retire from boxing.

Kovalev fans don't claim Kovalev KO's heavyweights.

In a nutshell, Kovalev fans don't hype up their fighter to mythical proportians therefore he has no detractors telling him to live up to these mythical things that his fans claim he can do.

So again, you praise a fighter or not according to what his fans say about him.

GGG never rejected any offer for a Canelo fight. They are negotiating. Welcome to my ignore list.
