The difference in class between Canelo and Mayweather was definitive. IMO that same disparity in skill levels exists between Canelo and Golovkin. But instead of a shut out on points, Canelo will suffer a beat down, forcing his corner to stop the fight in round 9 or 10. If it ends earlier, Golovkin will fold Ginger in half with a body shot.Comment

With due respect, I can think of at least two people who disagree with your assessment: Canelo and Oscar de la Hoya. Otherwise, why would they abandon the biggest money fight of 2016 like a bloated corpse on the Ganges?

All that being said, Canelo needs to take the fight, he's embarrassing himself.Comment

PivotandRoll, I see Canelo as a very good fighter who has relied mostly on his size advantage. And even then, he couldn't put away Cotto because his skill level was lacking.
Defensively, I suppose it depends on the opponent. Canelo is a good counter puncher. But I think with his superior ring IQ and footwork, Golovkin will set him up successfully.
Floyd had elite defensive skills. I believe Golovkin does too, offensively. His defense will become apparent as soon as more fighters step up to the plate.Comment

Having watched the Cotto and Khan fights, I would be more inclined to say Canelo is the Neanderthal puncher, whose only advantage has been weight. Also, in regards to "its not just being said to be said", I would refer you to statements made by Canelo previously. He agreed prior to Cotto that Golovkin would be next. He said after the Cotto fight that he wasnt scared of anyone and would fight right now. After the Khan fight, he called Golovkin into the ring, made his now infamous "We don't F around in Mexico" comment, and said he was willing to fight Golovkin right now at 160. To me, it seems like Canelo and Co have said lots of thing 'just to say them'
he showed nice skills in the Cotto fight, and great timing in the Khan fight.
I think that you are just a whiney ignorant golov-b1tch AHAHAHHComment

Your opinion isn't worth much if you think the Canelo that fought Cotto is the same one that fought Floyd...Canelo is very,VERY clearly the superior defensive fighter and counter puncher. also don't presume to put GGG on Floyd's level, he's simply not. GGG is not some monster, he took just as long to beat Rosado as Lemieux and Cotto took a whole extra minute to KO Geale.
All that being said, Canelo needs to take the fight, he's embarrassing himself.
Rasado can take a beating.
And Canelo fighting guys like khan and Cotto is one thing, but him fighting a guy his weight is another.
If Canelo thought he had a chance to beat GGG he'd of fought him instead of throwing his standing as a brave fighter right out the window.
You don't have to agree, but deep down you know Canelo looks like a biiiiitch right now. "I'll beat GGG, **** round, blah." "First leg me choose the 8th ranked JRMW. Then I'll talk about fighting GGG. Let's see if he slows down the year."
They will push this back three to five years until GGG isn't killing fighters. They'll blame Floyd too.Comment

Or maybe he will fight GGG when the best fighter on his resume isn’t a WW…
GGG can fight for 50 more years with the level of competition his fighting with.Comment
