This isn't nothing new. Arum is a master of getting the right B side opponent decided. I'm still not sure Crawford is out unless Arum doesn't think Crawford can beat Manny. Its really rather simple. Arum just says Manny you can fight opponent A for x $ or you can fight opponent B for y $ which is x $ + more & thats the opponent Arum wants Manny to fight.

And Pac does not need to take fights like that, he is established.

Golovkin should fight a MW/SMW if he won't give Canelo a catchweight or pay Jacobs/Saunders enough money..... and Pac should fight whoever the hell he wants IF it really is his retirement fight..... but if they are just spinning out Pac's retirement to string along the fans (like I stated at the start of the year) then he should fight Crawford.

I firmly believe that Pac will fight twice more, and that has always been the plan.

To me it looks like Arum wants Manny to fight Crawford in a passing the torch bout that would make Crawford instantly a big star. He is the futur of Top Rank, not Manny.

On the other side, Manny coach and manager both want no part of Crawford because they know how it would end for Manny. So they are trying to push for Vargas.

Anyway i dont really care about Manny at this point and i would be pleased if Arum can get him to fight TC, but i highly doubt it will happen.

Also many people on theses forums are saying Crawford style is about running and thats not true. He moved more against Postol to counter his reach advantage and dangerous jab, it was a great strategy and he proved he could face any type of boxers. But he didint move nearly as much in all his other 28 fights, look at Gamboa fight, he will likely give you an idea of how he would deal with Manny, both fighters are about the same size. Then people say TC dont go for the finish but in his past 4 fights, he still have 3 KO wins and have 20 KO in 29 bouts, not that bad lol.

This writer is contradicting his own article. He injects his opinion by saying Pac refuses to confirm so and so, and then goes on to report Pac hasn't even talked to Arum yet. Which they will when Arum arrives in Manila.

What do you think doe? Why is Arum protecting Crawford? Bob obviously thinks Vargas is the guy who has more chances of putting Pac to sleep again. Otherwise, Arum would not even add Vargas to the list of options and flat out just make the Crawford vs Pac fight.

never thought about it that way. I'd think he'd be protecting pac from crawford, but pac at most has 2 more fights so finacnially for bob and top rank it'd make more sense to let crawford go in there beat pac and a superstar is created. But maybe bob is worried pac will school him
