Golovkin fans overrate David Lemieux on purpose

Funny, because Stevens did a lot better against GGG than he did.

dangerous but flawed fighter. top 5 mw in a "meh" era. had some bad losses early in his career but appears to have turned things around. was outclassed and beat up by golovkin, but so was every other fighter he's faced since he came to the states. nobody to write home about, but certainly not a terrible win or fighter.

that golokvin doesn't have a top flight win doesn't' take away from the multitude of contenders he has picked apart, beat up, and knocked out.

Never said it did. But deifying his opponents to make him look bigger than life is ridiculous.

I believe he is underrated, great speed, power, explosiveness and heart, not the most skilled, but he can make exciting fights.

I noticed Lemieux gets overrated on this forum, mainly by Golovkin fans trying to make his resume look better.

How do you rate him? I have him as a solid b-.

Hes not very good. All he has is a strong punch. I am from Montreal and saw almost all his fights. Hes a B type fighter. Him getting outboxed by a over the hill Alcine was very bad.

Just because GGG made it look easy doesn't mean it's easy. I know Lemieux had a couple issues earlier in his career but in the past 5 years, he has been on a tear. That left hook he has is super fast and super deadly, much better than Garcia's "GARSH" punch.

Overall, I'd rate him as a solid B+ boxer. He has good speed, power, decent movement, average defense, great reflexes. He doesn't have the highest boxing IQ, which will always be a limiting factor.

There is no world, universe, timeline, or dimension where Le mule is better than Garcia
