Morning session:

Argilagos looked amazing. Much better performance than his first fight.
Dusmatov may be the only one that can defeat Argilagos. Dusmatov has defeated Argilagos in the past.
Can't say I watched that fight unfortunately. I'll have to look for it.
Dusmatov looked really impressive in his fight though. I think he has a chance to beat Argilagos. We will get another look at Dusmatov later today.

Yurberjen Martinez vs. Samuel Carmona was the best of the Olympics so far. I had Martinez winning. It was close.
I'm so happy Martinez won to be honest. He fights his butt off everytime, so does Carmona to be fair though. Amazing fight.
It's going to be difficult for Martinez to defeat Argilagos. Really difficult. Martinez has defeated a Cuban before however. If that means anything, which it doesn't. I'm just happy Martinez gets himself a medal. I do feel bad for Carmona who also fought hard in all of his fights especially this one.
Martinez has also defeated Hernandez and Quipo in the past.
I think Martinez has been the most entertaining fighter so far.
I like both Martinez and Carmona.

Nikitin is a good pressure fighter. It will be interesting if he and Conlan make it to the Quarterfinal. Nikitin has defeated Conlan in the past. It was almost three years ago though and I thought Conlan won. Nikitin had some success, but Conlan did the better work in my opinion. I haven't watched that fight in the longest, so may have another watch if both win their next fight.
Nikitin has a difficult fight against Butdee first. He may not even make it past that one.

I really enjoyed the Bachkov vs. Arcon fight.

Great start to tournament for La Cruz. Dominating performance. I am not sure who looked better between Argilagos and La Cruz. Most would give it to La Cruz, but I actually think Argilagos looked better. He was more consistent through the bout. La Cruz took some breaks here and there. I also think Argilagos got hit less. I know that's hard to believe lol.

I thought Russo beat Tishchenko.
The Russian team has not been looking all that great. Hopefully this teaches them a lesson and actually start to give their better boxers the opportunities. Russia is always producing great young talent but they let them go to waste.
I hope Russia starts giving their young talents chances and start developing them more properly.
They better get working on Ilya Popov. 16 year old that I'm really high on.
Hopefully Dunaytsev doesn't disappoint me. He's the one I was looking forward to the most.

Abdullayev vs. Tulaganov: Abdullayev started off better, but Tulaganov adjusted in the last two rounds.

Argilagos had great movement today, but I felt he missed a lot of his shots.
Dusmatov can make him pay for that.
