I agree, personally I look at Verdejo as the boricua version of Victor Ortiz...once he gets hit hard, he gets that questionable look on his face, just watch some of his fights...it's only a matter of time, but Mikey will murda the bum! Put Verdejo against Pedraza, and Verdejo gets stopped by Sniper too.

Regardless of the level of opposition he's faced, it takes a special fighter to succeed in amateurs and Olympics to the level as Verdejo has, and have the amount of fights he has at his age without blemishes - he's no boxing's greatest either but a bum he is not. Boxing is credited with having the worst uninformed yet most verbal of fans. Many have tossed a football around or played a team sport but few have put gloves before calling world class athletes bums.

While agree Verdejo wouldn't stand much of a chance vs mikey, let's not get carried away by comparing him to Victor Ortiz. He hasn't shown anything that should make someone think he's going to be a constant quitter who's also a head case.

it doesnt workvthat way with certain fighters,,guys like garcia are kind of popular so if he wants a title shot more than likely he will get it,,look at for example juanma,he hasnt fought in a while but if he comes back and has one fight his fight after that can be a title shot, thats how it is with certain fighters

Flanagan is what? A hamburger? He has a line up of challengers going around the block. Dejan, Mikey, Felix. Everybody is targeting Flanagan as the easy mark. That title didn't get him any respect and that zero isn't scaring anybody. He has a hometown edge and he doesn't live in Vegas, never been off the rock.

...with the WBO sanctioning body being in San Juan, I did expect him to be moved up in the rankings here. He might also win against Flanagan in NY or PR with a little help from Pabon as the ref and the judges and ring doctor being puerto ricans (esta pelea ya esta planchadita), but he won't last long as the champ...too many bad muthas out there....let the Sniper Pedraza take him out!
