Seems like Arum wants pacman to fight crawford still, vargas would be a more fan friendly fight. Vargas also has more personality than crawford, so i would think if vargas won in an exciting fight he would be a much bigger draw than crawford, plus vargas will have that mexican fanbase.

But everyone would know that Manny ducked Crawford (and Arum is NOT helping), so choosing Vargas is a bad look! I agree, I think Arum wants Crawford to take the crown from Manny, so he can focus on making Crawford a superstar! If I was Arum, I try to make a deal with Danny Garcia for Pacquiao, and let Crawford challenge Vargas for his WW title!

arum will use the excuse that they came very close to making the crawford fight but a few small things were in the way so the fight didnt happen this time so manny will be fighting vargas but after that fight then crawford will be next. bob always pull this crap. its to boost the sell of pac vs vargas since arum say pac will get crawford next.

pac will be training in the PI for this fight so im sure roach will not want a guy like crawford next.

Final say of course, but I wonder what options they even present him. He didn't sign yet for Vargas, I think Vargas is the only one they are even presenting an offer to Pacquiao with.

Vargas will be a more fan friendly fight than Crawford. I can see Crawford running all night, away from Pacquiao bombs, just like in the Postol fight. Sad to say, Crawford is boring.

guys it's simple. Vargas in November and Crawford in April. And if Pac is sensational in both fights, maybe Floyd rematch in September.

They're all TR fighters. There's no "ducking"... It's all about timing/money. Arum wants everyone to get pissed there's not going to be a Crawford fight. He puts it out there only to tease you at first, then pulls it away...that's the whole point, that's how they build these fights up. Manny gets a KO/TKO over Vargas and looks like a beast and suddenly Crawford/Manny looks even more competitive.
