Not sure why you guys make fun of it, its bad for boxing. Its not even like Ward has dislikable fans or is a dislikable person. He is a great guy, and a great fighter, articulate and humble. You may not like his fighting style, I personally don't mind it, but other than that there is not a single thing to dislike about Ward, he is a credit the sport, and he has had plenty of time in the sun, and will have plenty more.

Long layoffs, a dwindling economy, an inept promotional team all can add up to tumbleweeds unfortunately.

Boxing as a whole, except for in the UK, seems to be flushing down the ****ter.

This is why I don't blame GGG for not moving up to 168 to fight Ward.
Unfortunately Ward can't draw a fly to ****. Even though Ward is extremely high risk for GGG and no reward. GGG still offered 164 and had all the right to do so. After all he would be the one filling all the seats.

                It's Karma.

GGG being attacked by Ward fans for his opponents, then Ward tries to fight the worst possible opponents before the Kovalev fight.

I assume Ward doesn't care because he's getting paid anyway, but who the hell wants to see him against some unknown and unranked fighter.

We get he's a great fighter. But when his fans bragged about GGG only making 100-150k in ppv then they can't complain about Ward getting laughed at his lack of popularity.

Apparently business moves are only for Black boxers, GGG and other non blacks who try to make a business move are just coward duckers according to the youtube boxing channels.

164 was bloody shite. Should have been 168 or nothing. Of course I wouldn't have recommended Ward as his first fight at 168.

i mean the fight is hardly worth televising so it's not a surprise

i agree that ward is a great fighter and good bloke, but i can't feel any sympathy for him when it comes to this particular flop
