Am pretty sure one of this Welterweights would call out Rigo very soon.

Roc said Cotto fights on December 3. So I guess at MSG and a Roc Sports venture.

Isn't Peterson under Haymon? I thought Haymon and Jay z didn't work together?

IIRC, Lamont rehydrated a lot against Garcia.

Yea but he's still smaller than a natural 154. He's still never fought above 144 yet

The tweet says that we'd be happy about the match-ups; Cotto/Peterson doesn't get me excited at all.

Lamont is taller/longer than Cotto, and their fight night weights will be similar. It's such a weird match-up to make, even-though their styles seem to mesh pretty well. I guess it could be entertaining if Peterson doesn't get KO'ed quickly.

Like both fighters and the CW of 150. Peterson is a talent and Cotto is Cotto not sure if PPV but im thinking

                But..

If Omar is on the card and fighting someone "exciting" then im in. Hes must see.

I don't buy this; Peterson isn't anywhere near Cotto's level, nor does he help generate 15 million, really.

As farfetched as the idea sounded, I'm still hoping it ends up being Maidana.

Cotto should only take legend-level fights at this point, at least for the last event in a year. Maidana would fit that bill.

I'd accept a Trout rematch, too, and I'd even take Lara just so all of Lara's Internet fans end up becoming Cotto fans. It would make the debates around here easier, lol.

Peterson isn't legend-level; I'd consider it a tune-up. Sure, Cotto may be best suited for a tune-up, because of the long layoff, but it's not an exciting fight.

Peterson would be ****ed, but I'm still game. It's not a bad fight.

Maidana is not bringing in 15 mill either.
Cottos options are thin at this point.
