Has nothing to do with your post but when merchant told Floyd if he was still young he'll kick Floyds butt himself. Floyd should have said alright fight my dad then lolyup...He and Roy used to get it from Merchant....George and roy often had to put merchant in line because he trolls guys, even after they win fights
often times floyd was respectful, megawatt smile, almost like Arum was promoting him to be a mini Leonard but you could tell it wasnt natural
Merhcant even said Gatti fight wouldnt happen after he beat a guy, forgot which fight
Their comes a point when you realize their is nothing you can to please certain people.
this didnt happen for no reason
if I got head butted like that I would have done the same thing and idiots who call floyd dirty would have too...boxing is a fight, not a hugging match...how many times does he have to apologize for something he did blatantly (ortiz)Comment

were you following boxing in the late 90s and early 2000s? If not, we cant discuss this topic if you only have followed mayweather's career in 2007-2015
he fought an entire decade before becoming a star and big names avoided him.Comment

trying to rewrite history again? i've posted countless times on this and the articles all show hbo and his own promoter super frustrated with him because he wouldn't take tough fights like stevie johnston or margarito. Stop pretending calling someone out in front of a tv screen is trying to make tough fights. Your own promoter isn't going to bash you unless you are a big cowardComment

Floyd-CasamayorIMO opinion if the Tszyu and Casamayor fights would've happaned at the right time, Floyd would be the undisputed TBE for me now, these would've been great fights that Floyd would've won and looked good doing it. Unfortunately these guys didn't want to fight at the right time.
One for the diehards. How does Floyd break down the slick Cuban southpaw stylistComment

And then he (rightfully) stopped listening to them, refused to take another 'slave' deal or let them run him through the same boxing meat grinder that chewed up his uncle and father, took control of his own career, and dayum near pocketed a half BILLION dollars fighting bigger names and even better fighters while also setting himself up for post fight success.trying to rewrite history again? i've posted countless times on this and the articles all show hbo and his own promoter super frustrated with him because he wouldn't take tough fights like stevie johnston or margarito. Yeah, I'm sure they are 'frustrated' that he would no longer provide them cheap labor against guys they even they themselves wouldn't push.Comment
