Matthysse was a beast breaking fighters down,oh you're talking about Spence jr, that dude has yet to step up his game. He looks promising, wait until he fights a Porter , Thurman , Garcia or even a Berto before you start praising him.

Would be a great gauge for Spence. He definitely needs something like this. I seriously doubt Cotto wants it at this point in his career though, and I don't blame him.

bad match up for cotto........i honestly believe spence cuts off the ring way better then a prime (yes prime) margarito. he's also faster then marg & focuses more on the body. to add he's younger then cotto? this is a horrible style match up for cotto........cotto needs to retire.

What about his chin? It's unproven, plus he's been rocked by some average power guys. He's also very hittable. Cotto has too many miles on the clock but there's a lot unproven about Spence..

thats the thing....i don't think spence is very hittable at all. someone like marg is very hittable (but has the chin to take it) i think spence is a lot more defensibly responsible then people think. the last time i saw spence rocked with anything is when he was much younger (23) the only open question in a cotto bout would be can he take cottos punches. if so (which i believe) cotto takes punishment.

If this were a few years ago, Cotton uld actually test him, and we'd see what he's made of, but right now, Spence would whoop his ass. Cotto's too old, and Spence is a young, hungry fighter.
