Hearn is not DeGale's promoter so why would he offer the fight to him before Brook who he DOES promote exclusively. No way he would do that to a loyal client that has been desperate for a big fight. Brook was the alternative choice not DeGale.

I'm not disagreeing with you completely but they shouldn't mention DeGale just because they are working with Hearn and they definitely shouldn't imply that he would have avoided the fight either. Dude is a business man. It's clear as day what really happened.

They were in negotiations with Eubank. Eubank is difficult to negotiate with. So he offers Brook, and Team Golovkin takes it without hesitation because it's a low risk/high reward fight.

Why take on DeGale for high risk/same reward, Lara for high risk/lower reward, or a middleweight like Khurtsidze, Lee or Korobov for meh risk/low reward.

When you weigh risk and reward, Kell Brook is the obvious choice and it's not even close.

That's all there is to it. K2 is just balancing risk and reward like everybody else in boxing is doing right now.

You aren't making your case because a week after the presser Eddie said everything was going to plan and the fight would be announced within 48 hrs. Show me anything from Jul 4th til Jul 8th that indicated talks had stopped. The presser was on Jun 25. On Jul 4th we were led to believe it was only a matter of hour before the fight was announced so any issues at the Jun 25 presser were cleared up by Jul 4th. All I'm asking is to show me an article or video after Jul 4th and before Jul 8th where Loeffler indicates the talks were done and couldn't be saved. Go look thru his tweets and see if you find anything
