Lol at these ******s claiming the champ calls the shots. If that's the case then why was the fight in New York in the first place?
Based on the scorecards the champ wasn't given any of the close rounds and Frampton faded down the stretch. You're supposed to take the fight from the champ in the championship rounds, right? Not lose the second half of the fight.Comment

So if Santa Cruz can choose the City in Northern Ireland to fight Frampton in, that would somehow remove Frampton's home country advantage ???? INTERESTING !!! Very solid logic...Comment

Oh yeah, like New York is somehow Santa Cruz's backyard. There was a ton of Irish-Americans there for Frampton. Let's stop acting like Frampton traveled to hostile territory.Comment

Are you insinuating Santa Cruz was in hostile territory in New York City ???
Leo suggesting the crowd swayed the judges is an excuse, plain and simple...
I watched the fight, the crowd went both ways...
Leo didn't adapt his game plan to the fight Frampton was fighting.... He didn't use his height and reach advantages properly...
SIMPLE QUESTION,
If Santa Cruz would have stayed on the outside and swarmed when Frampton advanced then pivot out... Does Santa Cruz win fighting outside ???
You better think this through, it's a slippery slope...
If you say Santa Cruz dominates, then say goodbye to the crowd excuse....
If you say that Santa Cruz would have been no better off fighting on the outside, then you lack confidence in Leo's skills...
That's why he lost, not that ****** crowd excuse...Comment

Leo was getting boo'd the entire fight. And the announcers were very BIASED. It was a VERY close fight. No WAY should anyone had a 9-3 card filled out from Friday Night.Comment

Well, let's not act like there are no Mexican Americans in New York City...

The fight was close... It should have been a closer on those two score cards.... But if Leo stays on the outside and fights with his head and not his heart, he wins... Why attack a counter puncher when you have height and reach advantages ???
You pick him apart with the jab and wait for him to attack because he has no other choice... Leo did none of that..
There are well defined strategies for a taller fighter with reach advantages to fight shorter fighters... The dangerous shorter fighters are pressure fighters, Frampton wasn't even that.... Frampton waited for the attack and countered, almost the exact plan Leo needed to enact (minus the jab)...
They didn't capitalize on their advantages and that's why he lost, not the crowd excuse..Last edited by MindGame; 08-03-2016, 02:13 AM.Comment
