You had regional promoters. So when a band went on a nationwide tour they'd deal with the regional promoters. The east coast promoters. Then midwest promoters, south promoters and so on.....

No such thing as east/west in a sport where funds and viewerships are dwindling rapidly. Why would any network put fights on the same dates in the first place?

Slick Ricky is the Don King or Bob Arum of this era. Slick Ricky knows the game. Its stupid to think he's a banker & accomplished what he did in boxing, but he did it all the same.

He knows how to promote PPV fights. And thats the main spot to make money in boxing in 2016 & for the last couple decades.
