I never saw fans of any other sport whine about the athletes getting paid better, getting the chance to have more viewers, and lastly having it on network tv instead of premium

The so-called fans on this site would rather see a promoter make $3 or $4 million on fight rather than see both boxers paid that much combined. At least that is the attitude since PBC was formed.

I applaud the effort. I'm just saying it is a very difficult thing to achieve...maybe impossible. As someone who works with investors, I am shocked that they were able to get funded so well. That was the biggest success in all of this.

If you work with investors you know the amount of information it takes to secure an investment. You can't just come in there with a good idea. You have to have empirical data. Short-term, mid-term, long-term projections. Detailed information on the competition. If you think getting a small business loan is detailed, try to get half a billion dollars.

That's quite a spin to point out 3rd most watched sports program. In the overall cable ratings, it was number 90 out of the top 100 programs on that night.

Looks like the number listing is due to the 18-49 demo being low.

... Yes, PBC on Spike did great: ranked at #90 out of 150 shows... and made exactly 0.18 points... ... not bad, not bad...

PBC has fight cards all the time. They've had some great fights, some bad fights, upsets, predictable fights, etc....

It is concerning that they can't get decent ratings considering the amount of money that was poured into it. I don't think ratings are everything. Having low ratings just happens sometimes, for several reasons, and sometimes randomly. But they should have made some progress in that area by now.

Even the Haymon nutriders will admit the PBC has made several mistakes...but unfortunately, the bottom line may be that boxing is just not a popular sport in the United States and no amount of money can change that. We will see.

Wow I never knew that many people watch golf...

Watching Golf is a no brainer, just like watching Baseball... You can miss half of it doing other stuff and still don't feel you missed anything ...

The PBC strategy: build guys up on free TV and showcase their biggest fights on premium TV. I'm not sure I like this strategy.
