Rigo moving up to 126. Featherweight division beware

Would love to see Johnathan Guzman get a shot a Rigo before he moves up but I would be happy with seeing Rigo move up to 126. Only problem is that he is still on the outside looking in because he is not with PBC
still not sure if moving up with change anything because of the Politics outside of the ring
While this would be a great move, I honestly don't see much changing, he moves up and they still will not fight him I think but we shall seeComment

He should move down instead of up. His new style of standing in front of guys would lead to a whole bunch more stoppages at 122 or 118. Moving up though, he is simiply giving up too much size. He's already the smallest 122 pounder. Guys like Selby, Lomachenko, Russell etc. rehydrate up to 140. Rigs sometimes comes into the ring at 122. Doesn't make sense to keep pushing the weight and size disadvantages to the extreme, to please haters. He can move up in weight, and he still won't get the fights, because the main players at 126 are signed to PBC. Al Haymon already told LSC he can't fight Rigondeaux. I'd rather see Rigondeaux stay at 122, or move to 118, and look for fights with guys like Tete, Inoue, or Gonzalez.Comment

I agree. He has a few guys to fight at 122, there are still some decent fighters there. Moving up to please haters and put yourself at even more of a size disadvantage, when Haymon has already told one of his fighters he isn't fighting Rigondeaux because it would be boring is kind of silly. Guzman, Flores, McDonell, and Vargas are all good fights at 122. Tete said he would move up in weight to challenge Rigondeaux as well. There are people to fight, where the fights could be made, as opposed to moving up and getting blackballed from fighting Haymon fighters.Would love to see Johnathan Guzman get a shot a Rigo before he moves up but I would be happy with seeing Rigo move up to 126. I don't understand how a guy that is 5'3 max, and always fights bigger guys, gets so much hate. Rigondeaux is a top level talent. If he moved down to 118, he would probably KO everybody.Comment

Funny that a lot of people are still riding high off of the Frampton win, and believe he will dominate the division. They're even calling for him to be included on P4P lists.
Valdez puts this division on lock by late 2017.Comment

Hopefully they keep ignoring his ass. I'm getting tired of Rigo's team and his fans.
They keep saying Rigo is small and could make 115 and 118 then why doesn't he try to make it?
If they're so confident that he could make it then he should go to 115 and challenge Gonzalez. Bigger fights for him at 115 than 122. Apparently he could make it, yet hasn't.Comment
That was one of my first thoughts.
