In the video he says he won't put much weight over 160. Doesn't mean he will be 160. He might be 163, for instance. I've been predicting 165 and I'll stick to that.

Golovkin fight night weight is 170 (against Lemieux) or 171 (against Wade).

There will be less than 10 lbs of difference between them.

That's it. We have to wait and see what actually happens. I expect GGG to make weight at 159 and Brook at 157. And then GGG to rehydrate to 171 and Brook to 165.

Guys saying Golovkin would have 17 lbs over Brook are delusional.

No they aren't, that's what he has over WW Brook. Of course Brook is going to add weight (weight he's not used to carrying in fights) to fight someone 17lbs bigger.

Best thing going for Brook in this fight is the IBF's 10lb re-hydration limit and fight morning weight check.
GGG doesn't rehydrate 15-20lbs on fight night like Canelo does anyways

i don't have to bet anything. me stating that golovkin will be 13 14 pounds heavier is logic.

          enjoy.........

It's easy for Brook to say he will be 160 on fight night but I am sure he will be much heavier than that. Boxers like to be comfortable as a rule. They don't like to be the least bit hungry or thirsty if they don't have to.They almost always weigh in at or near the weight limit for their fights and that's just the way it is.Look at Khan. He weighed 155 at the weigh in the same as Canelo. Brook will weigh in at 159 or 160. If they weigh him on fight night he will probably be 166 or close to it. People forget or don't know that when they weigh boxers on fight night they don't weigh them stripped down. They weigh them shortly before they enter the ring wearing shoes, trunks, foul protector and boxing gloves. All that stuff weighs at least 3 pounds and they don't subtract it from what the boxer weighs on fight night. GGG generally weighs between 169 and 172 on fight night.

It may seem logical to you but I would also bet you will be proven wrong if fight night weights are given. GGG will outweigh Brook by 7 pounds tops and probably less. GGG would KO Brook even if Brook was a natural big middleweight so it doesn't matter that much. GGG will win mainly because he is better than Brook pound for pound. Being bigger than Brook just makes it easier for him. Brook wanted this fight and now he has got the fight he asked for. If Brook isn't complaining about the size difference why are so many others making excuses in advance for his expected KO loss.

I am glad you gave Canelo's weight gain as a realistic 15 to 20lbs. Crybaby liar Khan said Canelo weighed 187 on fight night when Khan fought him. That would be a physically impossible weight gain of 32 pounds in 30 hours. Khan claimed he only gained 3 pounds and weighed 158 on fight night and that is also unbelievable BS. Canelo probably weighed 170 to Khan's 165 when they were in the ring.

We've seen similar weight disparity with fighters of the same division, so this really isn't that shocking. Brook is moving up two weight classes to fight a true MW.

Remember the size disparity between Chavez and Martinez?
