Salido vs Vargas was excessively entertaining since both guys always go for a war. Leo couldn't unload on Frampton, nor Frampton was landing big.

They were both wonderful fights. The Vargas vs Salido fight gets the edge as the better fight for me. If you like even, vicious back and forth action with tons of clean hard punches landed by both men in every round the Salido vs Vargas fight is hard to beat. Both fights were between very high ranked high quality fighters which makes them even better than a great fight between average fighters.

In regards to fight of the year I think Vargas vs Salido is the fight of the year so far with 5 months left in the year.

Both fights were great IMO. Vargas/Salido would win FOTY but I loved watching how Frampton neutralized LSC with his boxing ability.

Frampton lacked the conditioning If he could have fought very similar to how he did in the first half of the fight I think then it would have been FOTY still a fun fight to watch.

I find it hard not to disagree. I think if Santa Cruz had a lil more power, it wouldve went the other way though...

I gotta hand it to Frampton, he kinda made me a fan, he did nice work to the body and Im a fan of sneaky/clean body work. If I were to knock Frampton on something is he moved way to much to get hit that much, if Santa Cruz had a lil more power, I think the outcome wouldve been different and probably wouldve had a new FOTY...

I found Frampton/Santa Cruz more entertaining. Better boxing skills while still offering plenty of toe to toe action. Vargas/Salido was a flat out war though, it had blood, guts, and Vargas' fvked up face.

I liked both fights but the FOTY is probably Vargas Salido.
