160 may be the weakest division of all time, very possible he goes undefeated considering how he ducks quality fighters.

We saw what happened when Murray moved to 168, demolished by a shot Abraham AND Groves

We saw what happened when Geale moved to 157, demolished by a past prime Cotto

We've seen Lemieux dropped and walked through by a shot Alcine

We even saw what happened to N'dam when he tried Olympic boxing

It's just embarrassing at this point.

I'd tell you to ask Gatti, N'Dou, Hatton and Corrales about Floyd's inability to stop them...too bad two of them are dead.

Point is Floyd beat #1 contenders, champions and true threats. G has done none of the sort.

G's retirement match will end as thus:

          p4p rankings are subjective....

Rigondeaux has one great win over Donaire. Crawford has a few solid wins, Inoue and Loma have 10 fights or less, Golovkin few solid wins.
No, that sounds like any discussion ranking fighters. And the list of names you give is disingenous. Crawford is a two-division champ who just unified in his second. Rigondeaux has wins that match Golovkin's to go along with his win over a prime/near prime highly-rated Donaire. Guys like Inoue and Loma are at best lower rung pound for pounders. Like where GGG should be. Why? Because their resumes aren't as proven as those above them. Make sense?

Not true. Froch was only ranked in the top ten very briefly in his career despite having one of the better resumes. Here's an example, in 2012 Broner, Guerrero, Donaire and Sergio Martinez were all top ten. Froch wasn't. We can definitely agree Froch had a better resume than Broner and Guerrero, and some would argue his resume was better than Donaires and Martinez as well. The following year in 2013 Canelo was top ten despite only beating Austin Trout, Froch definitely had a better resume than that.
You said if it was just resume, Froch would be #1 or #2. Could you point me to a time when this could have occurred? Or are you arguing that Froch should have been rated higher than those on the lower rung of p4p rankings? You get no argument from me with the latter.

And some of those guys you mention are legit ahead of Golovkin in the rankings and are most certainly top ten fighters, others we can simply ask who is the better fighter (which is what p4p lists are). Canelo is a great example - by far he has the better resume however almost everyone believes Golovkin is the better fighter of the two and if they fight today, Golovkin beats him. Cotto and Bradley are examples of what I mentioned earlier - guys on the decline and on their way out the sport, they just aren't as good as they used to be which is why they have dropped off recent p4p lists.

We agree Golovkin is ranked too high, top 5 is giving him a bit too much credit, but top ten I absolutely believe he belongs there at the moment.

I respect your opinion though, when we talk about non-Hopkins topics things go smoothly haha.
I agree with pretty much everything you say here. I don't rate Cotto or Bradley higher because they're coming off decisive losses and are on the decline. But I can think of 8-10 guys I'd rate higher than Golovkin. And the reason is because their resume is better.

It sucks that taking chances and risking a loss is viewed as career suicide these days. Most of the greats who really tested themselves lost multiple fights. The fights got made and sometimes it wasn't your night. I like GGG, I do, but he could retire 50-0 with the guys he's been fighting and it wouldn't mean much.
