But I'm getting a kick out of all the excuses already coming out when it comes to Gary Russell Jr. He isn't worth a damn, he's the worst featherweight title holder in history, blah blah blah.

When we all know that in reality he's one of the most difficult and dangerous of the current 126 lb beltholders, now that Lomachenko left the division.
    What excuses am I making?

Russel spent years fighting bums and then got a call up to fight for a vacant title because everyone involved in that bout knew Loma would win and get his world title in as few fights as possible.

Then he managed a good result against an old fighter who got a massive upset win over Mares. That's like claiming Floyd's win over Baldomir made him a world class fighter.

When Russel beats a top feather (he's already lost to the only one he fought) I'll applaud him. Till then, his career reads TBA TBA TBA TBA Loma.

From a physical stand point, what's so dangerous about him? He is 5'4'', quick hands but not a lot of power, doesn't set his feet properly and has plain, average boxing basics.

I'll be quoting all of you guys labeling Russell Jr has some sort of world class fighter when he loses to the next top guy he faces.

Gary Russell Jr. got on his grown man with Selby, and I appreciate that! However Selby is smart, Frampton should be the fight "he" wants "right now." I would love to see Selby vs. Russell Jr. next, but if i'm Selby, why would I want that in my life? If I'm Selby, I want Frampton first! It's a much bigger fight, and truth be told, I think Russell Jr. vs. LSC is still a great fight! Again, I want Selby vs. Russell Jr. NOW, but you really can't complain in either scenario!

OK, so Selby has one of those dime store belts. Russell shouldn't mind traveling then, he did the bullying. I bet Russell never catches Selby if they fight in the UK. Gonzales is a face fighter=Hyland=TBA. Selby circles, moves, I won't say like Loma, but enough to play keep away. Touch and go, when in doubt, grab. Russell never cut off a ring in his life.

I will say it again I don't think neither Selby or Russell should just be picked, I would love to see them FIGHT and the winner gets Frampton!

I get the feeling that ALL will avoid Russell Jr for as long as they can. Remember Russell is a Champion so it is not like he can become their Mandatory as the WBC Champion so look for some ducking and dodging of Russell Jr because of that damn Hand Speed as Selby already tried to use to "NOBODY KNOWS RUSSELL JR" excuse already
