This is what I'm not understanding is how Hearn booked the arena without a signed contract from the Eubanks... I mean had that fight fallen through which it did. Hearn would have been screwed... That just shows, they were negotiating with Brook from the get go and he led on the Eubanks for ****s and giggles, while really having their eyes on the WW the whole damn time.. You know the guy GGG said was too small!

CEJ and Vargas were played as fools by GGG, Brook and Hearn. That's horrible.

Very few people believe that Brook-GGG is ideal but when someone offers $5 million and the alternative is somebody like Heiland for maybe $2 million then ...

If Lara really wanted to fight GGG (and all the indicators are that his management team doesnt want it) then it should be easy for him to set up a fight with Jacobs (same advisor & network) to become his mando.

Cant see it happening, I'm afraid

Standard operating procedure e.g. Arum has booked an arena for Pac's return and the guy is still retired

You have to think that the Eubank "fight" was on the table as otherwise they have made absolute fools of themselves for no reason

More likely explanation is that Eubank's Dad is nuts, Hearn was desperate, K2 was under pressure from HBO for a September fight and that both GGG & Brook took the cash on offer

Good point, but it's easier to find an opponent in US since the fight is staged here and Manny has plenty of in house options.. There's not very many fighters Hearn could have offered which points to why Brook was the desired opponent the while time. It took 2 days after the deadline to announce that fight. That's unheard of.

So it's clear to me brook was both plan A and plan B.

who cares that it is easier to make a **** fight, than a good one ?

why must making a fight be " easy " ?

why are your excuses ridiculous ?

Yea, they really did drop the ball, again.

So, in that fight..... Jacobs and Golovkin would both be making a WBA title defence, against each other..... right?

                so what ?

So Hearn rings them up and says..... '**** happens'.

                so what ?

And NO, they would not sue him..... not if they wanted to continue doing business. And again.... so what if they did, who cares?..... that cancellation would have cost them next-to-nothing because the potential fight was still WEEKS away..... so any financial payout would be minuscule compared to what they could make off 1 Hearn event..... they would simply show a little understanding to further their business relationship or they would go kick rocks.

That is an absurd excuse to justify why team Bull**** selected Brook.

The sad thing is that Jacobs did recently state he will face Golovkin and will most likely face him next April he didn't duck Golovkin the fight just wasn't made based on them waiting on Canelo which was very dumb cause the only person I know truly has ducked Golovkin and that was Saunders he called Golovkin out claimed to be injured and was scheduled to fight a day before Golovkin/Wade and now will fight on Sept 17 when

he should of clearly took the fight or fought Jacobs but everyone is sticking to the Mayweather blueprint which is worrying about a pay day instead of fighting Golovkin is fined tuned to cherry pick his opponents and has been for years no one is ducking him outside of Saunders and GBP deciding to wait Golovkin just needs to man up move up and face Ward because his coach and promoter is talking to much and are straight telling lies it's a known fact that they been wanting Brook even talked about a 157 catchweight watching Canelo picking Khan too hard it was a lot of options for Golovkin but they chose someone they shouldn't been thinking of in the first place you gotta stop feeding into the nonsense Golovkins team spreading
