Why Deontay Wilder fears Alexander Povetkin

Wilder's loss in that amateur bout showed me he has heart, he is willing and he has improved a lot since his amateur career.
As for being afraid of Povetken that's BS, he signed the contract, trained, was willing to meet the bid in Povetken's home ring and was on his way to fight.
All this talk about fighters being afraid is from people who have NEVER boxed because their the only people who are "afraid" to fight!
Calling a pro fighter a coward is the ******est thing to write on this forum!!!
It just shows everyone the mentality of a loser and a wimp when such nonsense is posted.

Deontay started very late in his career and still managed to win a 'Bronze' where is that euro now? does he beat the current version? You wouldnt put money on it...I know. Deontay Wilder the only legitamate HW in the world 365 Olympic style testing...not some six week typical boxing drug test...we dont need heart meds...to give us an advantage just American spirit ; hard work and dedication!Comment

Damn!!!!HOw in the hell do people dig up these videos??
I think most people will brush this off as BS. But these kinds of things stay with you as a young man, especially with a guy that has as much pride as deontay wilderComment

Wilder had almost no amateur career going against fighters with tons of amateur experience so bringing this old stuff up completely disregards the fact that it was long ago and Wilder has come a long way. Even Tyson was embarrassed as an amateur and we know what he accomplished as a pro.
Anyone who thinks Wilder was afraid of Pov is in complete denial of the fact that he was on a plane to fight him. He had a huge payday waiting for him too. Afraid my a$$!Comment
