Obviously Canelo would be the ultimate prize for anyone at 154 or 160, but I'm assuming the HBO/Showtime barrier & Andrade being a lesser known guy who's a real threat to Canelo makes him a highly unlikely opponent selection for GBP.

I also got serious doubts about Canelo being matched with any of the 154lb guys in the PBC collective. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd bet I'm not anytime in the foreseeable future & at very least til that GBP vs Haymon lawsuit gets resolved.

It should be Lara or Cotto, but I doubt it. I say Andrade vs. Culcay. I wouldn't mind seeing Andrade vs. Tony Harrison. That would be Sweet Science! I hope they put Andrade vs. Culcay on the same card with Jermall Charlo vs. Julian Williams!

Should be against Tony Harrison or Lara. Stop giving us mismatches with fighters who aren't even popular. People might tune in to see GGG in mismatches because of his style and popularity, even though it's not ideal. But since when was it acceptable to air mismatches with fighters like Andrade who have little fan base, little pound for pound pedigree, and don't even know how to make a mismatch into a short entertaining beatdown so we can get onto the next fight? No one wants to see Andrade outbox a no-hoper for 12 rounds on Showtime Championship Boxing.

Andrade-Harrison, Andrade-Lara, Andrade-boring Charlo, or many of us won't watch. Espinoza, this is honest feedback from your customers. We don't want to wait 2 years to see fighters who aren't even big names wade slowly into fighting a competitive opponent. Just make these fights now and the winner will move onto the next fight, a get a little bigger. Then make the next one right away, and the winner will get a little bigger. Then match the losers of those two, and the winner will get bigger from the loss in a high profile fight before and then the win in the losers bracket of top fighters. And the guy who loses both will have had two decent paydays, and then have to rebuild as a contender for awhile which is where he will belong if he gets two chances to beat top 10 guys in his division and loses both. But you guys want use smoke and mirrors to hold up every single half-decent guy you have as a potential top 5 fighter, which allows you to pretend to have mass quantity of top guys but prevents you from ever developing any of those guys into pay-per-view superstars because you won't sacrifice any of the quantity of your staple to give them enough big wins within a short time period to separate them into superstar status.

The way Pacquiao became a pay-per-view superstar is because he got Morales scalp twice, Barrera's scalp twice, Marquez's scalp, Oscar's scalp, Cotto's scalp, and Margarito's scalp all in a relatively short time. And Mosley's.

So if Showtime wants to make Andrade a pay-per-view star, they need to give him Harrison next, then Lara immediately after, while JRoc-Charlo winner if it's JRoc fights the other Charlo, and then the winner of that faces the winner of Andrade-Lara, and whoever wins that will have three big wins in a row, and be on their way to superstar status. That's the only way you do it. You don't spread all the talent out, give them all mismatches, try to maintain ALL OF THEIR credibility and undefeated records forever, and never let any of them separate by fighting each other. The point is to actually fight them all against each other, then a couple of them will prove to be the real deal, and become stars, while the other ones will show their ceiling and fade from the spotlight and make room for the next challengers. How boxing is supposed to work.

So Andrade is not the type of A-side star you put on Showtime in a mismatch. Put him with one of the premier talents in the division or many of us have no interest in paying to watch it.

I think in due time Andrade will be collecting the scalps of all the top guys who don't duck him. I always felt he was the top 154 guy until someone beats him.

Impressive win against Nelson. He's been barking at the Charlos, I'd like to see that.

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! You hit it right on the head. They are going about building stars all wrong. Quality over quantity 100%. I'd rather 2 certified stars emerge rather than be force fed 5 as "potential" stars.

Sauerland won't let Culcay fight anyone in the top 50 in the division, no matter what the WBA orders, so he won't go near Andrade. They'll pay off the WBA to give Culcay the regular belt without having to fight anyone, and Andrade should look elsewhere
