Time has passed since then and now here we are with Frampton, hopefully he's learned and is willing to move to 126. Like I said above, if he still wants a catch-weight, no harm in trying to negotiate it, but it most definitely should not be a deal breaker (he cannot afford to miss this opportunity if Frampton is actually willing to fight ).
He shouldn't call out fighters if he wants a catchweight. That is a **** move. Then again, I doubt Frampton would fight him in catchweight as he has no reason to. As much as I understand that people don't have to move up weights to get fight, its just not how it works in lower weight classes. They just have no way to get popular by fighting at a lower weight. Rigo played himself by missing out his opportunities.

I was surprised that Frampton, a short armed pink azz could fight that good. Pinky fights real good.

Rigo vs pinky =. The best fighting the best.

Let the best man win always... Always... Even if it ****s up my money.

God decides everything. I decide nothing. God decides everything.

Lord please let me make a few more years. It's always up to God. Praise God.

Nothing beyond that.

Frampton was in Rigondeaux's division. He chose not to fight him.

Leo Santa Cruz was in Rigondeaux's division, he would not fight him.

Then there are the Scott Quiggs and the likes who wouldn't fight him either. These are all guys in the same weight class, all guys Rigondeaux actively tried to fight, willing to go to their backyards, etc.
Rigo's opportunities was missed by having only 6 fights since 2013. For a not so popular boxer, they need to put up the work. Fight whoever they can. Rigo thinks he deserves 1m for all of his fights or atleast close after beating Donaire but that is not how it works. One big win doesn't make someone a superstar.

I will give you an example of Anthony Joshua. Look at the volumes of fights per year he puts. That is dedication and his popularity is well earned, so is his money. You will see that Joshua mostly fought weak HWs but the exposure he got 5 or 6 times a year lunged him into being a household name. GGG isn't popular because he fought 1 canelo level opponent every year but because he fought 3 to 4 times per year. Perhaps you don't agree with me, but I believe boxers these days are delusional. To gain a fanbase, boxers need to do lots of fights and show their skills. Fans don't come out of nowhere.

Sure he beat me with my Mexican brother LSG, close fight.

            I got Rigo over Frampton.

Frampton has way too many good, winnable options to bring Rigo up to featherweight and fight him. It's unfortunate for Rigondeaux, but the truth.

This fight has been on my mind since I saw Frampton/Molitor. 4 years later, and we're still talking about it.

All Rigo matchups belong in fantasy fights.

Rigondeaux will meet his match in Frampton.

Rigo will give Carl time to think and that will be his funeral.

Frampton KO via Left Hook after a competitive 5 rounds.

2-3 Years ago I'd be picking Rigo but he has slipped recently
