FRAMPTON has morphed into LOMACHENKO light ...

At least on this night, Frampton looked like Loma Lite ...

In the past, I viewed Frampton as a solid defensive minded boxer puncher... I didn't see "Elite" skills, just very good skills...

The Quigg fight displayed good skills, but reluctance to stay into the pocket with suspect tank issues...

But watching him perform tonight against a relentless pressure fighter with a chip on his shoulders in Santa Cruz, I saw a giant step forward...

Frampton looked like a little less slick & slower Lomachenko, like Loma Lite...
He did control distance better than I've seen him before...

He stayed in the pocked and used graceful head movement, foot movement and body movement.... (He showed shades of this before, but put it all together and sustained it throughout tonight.)

And Leo came in to take his head off... It was close, but Frampton tamed a lion...

Is it just me ? ? Or at least for this fight, didn't Frampton look like Lomachenko Lite ??? I hope to see more of it and not Frampton taking a step back...

No I wouldn't get carried away like that. But his inside fighting is one of best and was an absolute treat to watch tonight.

Ok Beer, but when you wake up and get a chance to review the fight, keep a open mind...

About the middle to later rounds when I was expecting Frampton to start to gas, it occurred to me that Frampton was reminding me of Lomachenko...

His inside movement and distance control was Loma like...
A step slow and less slick, But Loma Lite...
