Don't listen to the haters. This is the greatest era ever

Fourteen UK world champions. The Eastern European imports. P4P fighter in the lower weights and solid fighters from Asia. Five heavyweights who could beat each other on any given night. The sport is stronger worldwide than it is in America but we have people working to bring boxing back to the mainstream.

When you talk other era's you're mostly talking about American, Mexican, Latin American fighters. When we look back 20 years from now we'll be talking about fighters all over the world. Boxing has never been this great.

On tonight's card, fans saw fighters from Belarus/Dominican Republic/Ireland/Mexico/Puerto Rico/South Korea/Ukraine/USA. The pool keeps getting bigger.

It's a crap era, the main event consisted of 2 fighters who ran from the best in their original division, Rigondeaux and fought each other instead. The best hardly fight the best.

You said eactly what I was thinking. Pro boxing was only an American thing back in the days, but now it becomes more international with each year, American boxers still has an advantage in promotion, but I see that fighters from all over the world will be exchanging the experience - ex-USSR fighters will take something from American school of boxing, some American boxers will take something from European school and that'd be great for boxing. And I love this post May/Pac era, there's no May and Pac around, with all respect to talent of these fighters, they were attracting a lot of casual fans who DKSAB. We don't have boxing stars of the same magnitude now, but there's probably almost 10 boxers with the potential to become big pro boxing stars. And it's all about respectful competition.

I don't like when some mother****er in the internet talking how all C class bums from the era where his mom was still hot, would KO all current champions with ease. These boxing fans need to be optimistic, the future is bright. I'm giving you green K because this is exactly what I'm thinking. Damn, I would give you 20 green k's if I could

So far, it hasn't been competitive.

You are right. There are more quality fighters worldwide than there ever have been and that is fantastic. However, this is not a great, or even a good, era. This is the first era in which the majority of the top[ fighters are not willing to fight each other.

We saw a great fight earlier tonight between two of the best fighters in the world. However, Keith Thurman had to be shamed by boxing fans into fighting a quality fighter for the first time in his career a few months ago. Canelo Alvarez, Golovkin and Deontay Wilder are refusing to fight the top fighters in and around their weight division. Promoters are putting garbage fights on PPV and promoters like Arum and Golden Boy are continuously feeing fans garbage and trying to convince us it is filet mignon -- or that they will give us filet mignon next year if we eat their garbage now.

There is nothing great about this era!

lol. I agree a bit... however, Cruz won his Bantamweight title in 2012 and Frampton his seasoned Super-Bantam in 2014. Rigo was already the boogieman in 2012 at a higher class than Cruz.

There's little jackal, and then there's big poppa jackal that breaks Jaws in the UK. Cruz gets a pass because fish tacos are dope. real talk

Lol nice try MCC this era is the wackest ever. No1 wants to unify. Champs not willing to fight each other. Haymon did no service for LSC career other than the bank account. All those easy fights LSC took hurt him tonight. Props to Frampton, hopefully more of haymons pets get exposed soon.
