After that performance, Stevenson > Kovalev. Do you agree?

It was a good performance, no doubt but the club fighter was able to hit Stevenson a lot. Imagine what Kovalev would do. I still pick Sergey

Stevenson is ripe for the picking, he was never amazing but is washed up now. Apparently Haymon told him to go on a break to be fresh for this fight and he still got hit alarmingly often, good offensive variety though, usually he's a lot more straight left hand heavy.

Haymon will probably feed him to Beterbiev soon

None of it matters. In a few months, the power punching light heavy's will not be #1 and #2 of the division, instead they will be #2 and #3

All these dumbasses voted Stevenson did you not watch the same fight as the rest of us last night? Williams was landing power punches left and right... If it was Kovalev doing the throwing Stevenson would be tasting the canvas

which is unfortunate tbh. This is the first time in the Stevenson/Kovalev "marination" process that I've felt concerned. I'm picking Ward to win, but I've never wanted a prediction to be wrong this much.

it could turn out that main events will be more willing to make concessions if kovalev loses his titles

to me, kovalev-stevenson won't lose any of its lustre even if ward completely outboxes sergey. it's just such a perfect recipe for violence that it doesn't need titles or a P4P spot on the line to make it appetising

You're right about this, but the prestige is the icing. When was the last time we got a unification bout between two punchers that are legitimately top 3 in their division? It feels so uncommon nowadays to even have punchers/brawlers at the top of their divisions.

If Kov beats Ward and Adonis beats Alvarez, Kov/Adonis HAS to happen. The only the fight could get any bigger than that is if Adonis played Russian Roulette against Beterbiev.

Adonis ain't that good, this the reason the keep him from the top boys and why he signed to Al Hymie.
