His power is legit which will always make him a dangerous opponent to anyone, but he's getting close to being ranked #3 at 175 (as soon as Kovalev vs Ward happens), which is a weird situation being that he is the true lineal champ! It's so weird that another guy in the division has all the belts and Stevenson was even stripped of the Ring Belt because his opponents have been so weak, in fact this is the best opponent he's fought in like two years. His team is failing him, or perhaps he is to blame. Whatever the case, I don't care, I just want to see these guys fight each other before it gets too late.
Neither his team or himself are really to blame. Sulaiman explained this already but people around here tend to ignore those articles when they come out because it destroys the narrative that they want to spread across the fanbase.

Sulaiman explained that the wbc cleared Stevenson's schedule (did not impose any mandatories on him) in order to clear Stevenson's schedule so that there are no obstacles to the Kovalev fight.

Initially they made Kovalev the mandatory so that the fight can be made but we all know who ducked the purse bid when that happened.

After that incident, the wbc still kept the mandatory spot vacant after Kovalev vacated so Stevenson (the WBC's champ) can be available whenever the fight was ready to be made.

However, after close to or over two years and the fight seemingly getting further and further away from happening, the wbc had a title eliminator sanctioned for Alvarez and Chilemba, which lead to Alvarez becoming Stevenson's mandatory.

However like I said, folks around here ran from that article like the plague and you will never hear em saying anything about the wbc prez Sulaiman's explanation. They rather pretend it never happened.

Big fights never go to purse bids. They always negotiate beforehand and if it can't be made then it's off.

Stevenson has too much variation on that left hand. I laugh every time I read a post saying that he's a one trick pony, ignorant fools.

Stevenson throws the left with a pull counter, a lead straight left, a lead left cross, a left cross/hook to the rib, an uppercut to the chin, and uppercut to the body, a lead straight to the body, etc etc.

BUT, not only does he through it in so many different way, he also sets it up in many different ways too, and he is very good at slipping punches inside and outside the pocket.

Stevenson is actually the furthest thing from a one trick pony. If he was that left would have been neutralized a long time ago.

This is a forum full of moronic trolls. All you morons disappear when the overrated fighter you pump up loses. Of course in boxing at some point you will be right because some of the good match ups are 50 50. But I've watched all you morons disappear in shame with your worthless predictions. So much talk before the Mayweather pacquiao fight then silence until pac beat pillow fisted Bradley. Some of you morons thought Postol was going to beat Crawford lmao. Nonito Donaire is going to wipe the floor with Rigo. Oh yeah deontay Wilder is a bum right? He had no skills and stiverne would expose him and take him to deep waters. Lol you guys hit everything right on the head!. Until your hyped up fighter gets destroyed. Then if you have courage to show up to the board with the same name you have excuses. Otherwise you disappear back to the abyss of boxing hell you came from. Please just go away.

Great Emanuel Steward chose to train Stevenson for a reason...

... But Williams wasn't some significant guy at LHW -- even a shot Campillo managed to KO him in the 5th, back in 2014.

You are new to the sport and will learn the hard way using flawed analogies.
We all knew that if Stevenson beat another no-hoper people would claim its proof that he'd beat Kovalev.
