Comments Thread For: Chisora Unlikely To Land Whyte, Trying To Get Helenius Rematch

Promoter Kalle Sauerland, who handles heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora, says they are open to a future fight with Dillian Whyte in December. The domestic heavyweights nearly brawled during the press conference to announce the Whyte's promotional deal with Matchroom Sport. Security had to intervene to prevent a physical altercation.

Choosing to fight Pulev instead of Joshua must be one of the most predictably disastrous 'bidness' decisions ever made.

Did no one in his camp call him out and ask him what the hell he was doing?

At least Helenius is a step in the right direction

Not a bad option for Chisora. He needs to get more relevant so avenging his "L" (I had him winning myself) to Helenius is probably one of the better moves he can make & is a completely winnable fight for him. Could project him into a bit of a higher status position to maybe get a Joshua fight potentially if could get score a nice W over a Whyte or someone else notable first. Regardless doe of whats after I'm not sure there is a better more winnable fight for Chisora than Helenius & honestly I hadn't even considered that for him although in my defense he's been a lil out of sight out of mine recently with me.

I doubt it will happen. Helenius don't wanna know anything from Sauerland. They had the chance to fight for the EBU in January, and Helenius rejected the fight from the very beginning.

This seems pretty pointless. Helenius is damaged goods after his KO loss to Duhaupas and is currently ranked in the lower end of the top thirty. At the same time he's still fairly dangerous, so there's that risk that he could catch Chisora at some point.

Whyte's a much safer and more meaningful fight for him, but now that Chisora's with Sauerland I doubt that gets as easily made as it would have done in the past.

Sauerland and Sky/Matchroom have a better working relationship than Sauerland and Helenius.

Yeah, I forgot about Helenius's beef with Sauerland. That's actually quite good news. A Helenius rematch would be all shades of pointless.
