Comments Thread For: Marquez's Coach: Estrada, Ramirez Best in Mexico - NOT Canelo

... tbh: "El Gallo" and "Zurdo" are still green for top level boxing... Zurdo only beat a wurst paper champ so far...

I can understand Estrada being compared to Canelo but Zurdo is still to green but i think he has more potential than Canelo, Valdez too. Canelo has a good resume for his age but unless he comes out with some newfound power, i think we've seen da best Canelo Alvarez.

LOL...Nacho has been very open and public of his dislike on Canelo. I saw an interview that Beristain called Canelo "una persona soberbia" (arrogant or haughtiness person) and that Canelo hasn't improved or developed his craft to his potential,or what he and Mexicans hoped for. On this one, I'll have to differ from Nacho. As of today, Canelo is the best from Mexico, he has improved on defense, putting punches together and fighting much smarter lately. Pure boxers will give him problems cause he's so slow on his feet but has good head and waist movements, Cotto just connected @ 28% and Cotto is a very good fighter w/ a lot of experience. I'm also very disappointed of Canelo's decisions lately (not supporting any of his fights until he gets in the ring w/ GGG) and Estrada, Valdez and Ramirez are in the right path and closing the gap, but not there yet.

Canelos the best but that's not saying much really.

                    Estrada yes, Zurdo no way.

The only Mexican fighters I would consider better than Canelo are Estrada and Mikey
