He is an azz kicker. Mexican style. Are you a Mexican? Just curious.

That he is, that left hook could be the death of an older Rigondeaux if he moves up within the next 2years. Hopefully Arum has Valdez unify within the next year and that fight would have some solid build up. Throw Lomencheko vs Gamboa on that card and it makes for a fun night of fights!

I would love to see both fights. Especially Rigo vs Valdez.

Yeah, you can tell he is "green" in terms of being a pro.....BUT that term for him is like comparing a stock Ferrari to a a Ferrari with 100K worth of upgrades. This guy is a sick boxer, offensively, he is wicked with the left hook to the body and the overhand right. He exchanges but doesn't get hit with much.

As he gets better (which is hard to believe) he will become a superstar.....very exciting boxer.

            Yes, I am Mexican.

Valdez has beat mediocre opposition so far, 99% of his punchs are wide hooks that leave him self open, anyone who shoots 1,2's will beat him to the punch every time. Now Valdez could just be going hook/wide shot crazy on these limited opposition cause he can get away with it on them we shall see. I seen most if not all his televised pro figths and he loves throwing wide and I just think he might be exposed with someone with some skills but like I said who knows we have to wait and see when he does face someone.

I think that GRJ and Valdez would provide a solid opponent for the winner of LSC and Frampton.

He was already damn good when he made his debut, definitely championship level material just by watching those early fights. But like others have said, he still has to rack some more victories and some of those will have to be against guys with a good american type style imo. Fighters with some slickness (hate that word) but you know what I mean.

His least impressive fight was the one of his first on HBO, can't remember the opponent but he was missing a lot of his hooks over the top in that fight, and didn't really know how to mix up his pace and find the right kind of shot to land on the guy. I'd like to see him have to adjust again

All in all, he is sick to watch. One of my favorite fighters to watch. Two handed, fast, nice power, goes to the body, can move, stop and punch in comibination. The way he got rid of the guy off on Saturday was sick

Definitely be an interesting fight. I feel Selby is the best coached fighter in the division so it would be good seeing Selby getting more fights.
