Comments Thread For: Flanagan vs. Verdejo Ordered By The WBO, Says Frank Warren

Bob Arum, My old Top Rank sparring partner certainly remains on top of his game. With the likes of Crawford and Vasyl Lomachenko, he is continuing to demonstrate his knack of identifying and developing the pick of the crop in world boxing.

It is time for Verdejo to show what he's made of.
If he wins he'll be an immediate superstar as PR boxing needs someone real bad right now.
    If he loses, then....

I think Verdejo can beat Flanagan. I really do.

Verdejo has been so inconsistent that I think this a big jump in competition for him. He might not win this one! #Goodluck

I'd love to see TF VS DZ unfortunately I can see boxing politics allowing it. As for Jim Watt good luck for the future. Your Glasgow accent & pronunciation of Tommy Hearns AKA Tommy Hyanes will never be forgotten!

I feel Flanagan is underrated, but it think Verdejo would win that one.

I think we will see Flanagan Vs Zlaticanin first however.

I was with high hopes when Felix turned pro, but he took a step down in recent fights, he really needs to impress, all the others 2012 olympians are looking better.

Nice!! I think Verdejo takes it easy.

People are a bit too harsh on the guy, he's still very young and learning. He's clearly got talent, the only thing I'm worried about with him is the hand injuries.

People should'nt underestimate Flanagan. He is'nt a world beater, but he is a good fighter. A fight I would love to see though. Certainly would give us a good gauge on where Verdejo is.

It's Verdejo's time to show something. I'm tired of HBO wasting money on his mismatches. It's time for him to prove he's the real deal or not. Time to sink or swim. If Verdejo wins. It's going to payback BIG!
Plus, if Zlaticanin gets the Flanagan unification fight there is a good chance he beats Terry.
I'm sure Top Rank would prefer Flanagan over Zlaticanin or Mikey Garcia for Verdejo.
If Top Rank doesn't get Flanagan now the WBO title shot is only going to get tougher. It seems like everyone is targeting Flanagan.

I don't think Verdejo is as bad as it appears. There are still a lot of questions surrounding him, but what fighter doesn't have questions to answer especially early in their career.
He should be able to beat Flanagan if he is everything HBO and Top Rank hope he is.
