I don't think it should be necessary for him to state the obvious. Of course he is going to be bias. Everybody who knows who Kellerman is already knows he works for HBO so why should he have to tell people what they already know? Of course he is going to praise HBO fighters but that is to be expected. Should Oscar De La Hoya remind us that he is the owner of Golden Boy every time he talks boxing and that he isn't neutral? No, because we already know this.Comment

Max Kellerman is like the wilfred benitez of boxing analysts
when he was younger and on espn, I loved the guy. Non-biased, supported his opinion with facts, made fights exciting to watch, he could go overboard with certain fighters but that couldve been youthful exuberance
now he is washed up when he should be in his prime
Max fell off after he left espn...now he is an hbo puppetComment

Of course he should. Max or the host should inform viewers he works for HBO.
Anyone that says otherwise, check what they post when Paulie comments on Floyd or Manny. The first thing you see is them posting about how Paulie works for SHO.Comment

LOL! Sounds like Max hurt your lil feelings! Was watching the first take episode where Kellerman rips Floyd Mayweather. He's paid to give his opinion be it right or wrong so I have no problem with that. But shouldn't ESPN make him disclose that he works for HBO which is a rival of the network Floyd fought for? The bottom header said he's a long-time HBO boxing analyst. Most casual fans who watch that show have no idea of the politics of boxing and that Kellerman works for Mayweather's rival broadcaster.
Imagine Joe Rogan getting that job. ESPN puts on the header that he's a long-time UFC analyst. He starts talking MMA and names some Bellator fighters. I would have no idea who is a Bellator fighter and who is a UFC fighter unless he specified it.
When news channels have political pundits on they make the clear distinction which candidate or party that pundit favors so there is no confusion when he/she starts to talk about their rivals.
Max does work for ESPN as well as HBO................Fair!
Max used to be on Sports Nation and did a radio show daily in Los Angeles (not syndicated) at the same time working for HBO.
"First Take" is a promotion for Max in every sense of the word. He has relocated to the east coast and does not have to do local radio anymore.
Did you hear his take on Tom Brady today? When was the last time Kellerman made the news cycles not related to a big fight!
