  • Comments Thread For: Santa Cruz: I Won't Be Like Quigg, I'll Force Frampton To Fight!

Mexican star Leo Santa Cruz has insisted that he is undaunted at facing a hostile Carl Frampton crowd in New York on Saturday night. The pair collide in what is one of the most eagerly anticipated fights of the year when Northern Irishman Frampton moves up to featherweight to challenge WBA Super world champion Santa Cruz in a clash that will see one of their undefeated records tarnished.

I think Frampton is pretty skilled, and it wasnt really his fault the Quigg fight was a stinker, Frampton is defensively minded and Quigg wouldnt let his punches go, this should be an entertaining fight atleast. Although i dont rate LSC that high, Frampton by UD

You will try Leo... Lets see how you deal with a broken jaw.

Frampton is certainly content to sit back and box. Sanya Cruz needs to take the fight to him....smartly. Frampton has accurate punches with sneaky power.

Frampton has a very good sneaky uppercut, which is most likely what broke Quiggs jaw, i like his defensive style but one thing i noticed is that his reaction time isnt the greatest, he often gets hit with silly shots, other then that he is the real deal

Yes his reflexes leave something to be desired., I feel he would benefit from touch pads in the style of Floyd but it isn't popular this side of the pond.

His uppercut is a great punch. His Footwork is beautiful but I will admit , the way he constantly engages his legs plays a part in his lack of stamina..This only happened in the last 2-3 fights so hopefully it's a thing of the past.

TBH I feel that's the wrong gameplan....You're asking for a Cotto-Margs . Taylor-Chavez when you fight like that. Frampton should go in, get in his chest, use his low center of gravity to put him on the back foot and light his bit(h ass up. I'd have Frampton go full Tyson on his ass. Hell if Kiko can drop him i'm not too sure on his chin. Mares never had power.
