Look folks, the last thing I need is to hit this forum and see 250 posts about 2 retired fighters.
Did Floyd fight everyone we wanted him to?
Absolutely not...just like pretty much every fighter you can name.
Did Floyd fight Manny years too late?
Absolutely...and Manny fought Floyd years too late too- because BOTH men deserve blame for the fight not happening sooner, not just one of them.
Listen, almost any fighter's legacy can be attacked.
For example, Pac's record at 147 is often depicted as smoke and mirrors, but I can post info that also indicts his record BELOW 147 and all the way thru almost to his debut.
But, that doesn't mean Pac is not a first ballot unanimous HOFer even if he never fights above 135.
Bottom line, we need to move on.
It happened the way it happened. One guy will be seen as a bit better but both men will be viewed as in a class by themselves.
Let's just be happy we got to see them fight.
