I would say yes. There's a reason why nobody really tries to just throw with him. They taste the power, get countered a few times, and shell up.

Hagler is a bum because he never moved up and fought a former lightweight in SRL.
Golovkin is a bum because he knocks everyone out and isn't slick.

LMAO Hagler's fought probably the most #1 ranked fighters in boxing history. I haven't looked this up, and researched it, but I bet I'm not wrong.

Hagler would systematically break GGG down, and leave contusions on his head. Is he a bum then?

Imagine if GGG was stronger, faster, more durable, a better boxer, a lot more mobile, could actually fight on the inside, better in mid range, better from long range, and a better pressure fighter when need be, and you have Hagler.

Oh, and he could actually fight going backwards. Also, able to fight at an elite level from either the orthodox, or southpaw stances.

I'll give GGG the slight advantage with the jab.

Caveat, Hagler sees it coming. And after tasting his power, do you think it would deter him in any way?
GGG hits hard enough to hurt anybody and he would definitely hurt Hagler but Marvelous was a great fighter. He could recover, adjust, box smart, lay some serious leather on GGG and beat him. Maybe even put him away late.

Here we talking about a guy who countered the Motor City Cobra. A power and skill packed man.

Golovkin would definitely win by KO.

No way in hell, Hagler has never been KO...I like GGG but Hagler had a very good jab watch his first fight against Mustafa Hamsho excelent jab when he needed to.
